Beginning of the Adventure!
Ahhh there's so much to share. Costa Rica was such an awesome experience. I can't wait to share everything that God has taught me and all the amazing things that have happened. God is so great and I am learning that more and more every day. I journaled while I was on my missions trip and so I think it will be easiest to post my journal entries from the days I spent there. Plus I'm a little scatter-brained and tired right now so I think it will be the best way to share.

I'm in a plane on my way to Costa Rica. I can't say how close we are, but I know it's been a few hours. The darkening of the sky and my full bladder are sure signs we are getting close. I refuse to use the tiny bathroom which has had a line in front of it during this entire flight.
The sky is so intriguing from inside of the plane. Flying through clouds is such an interesting thing. For the past few minutes the sky has been completely white. It reminds me of those old cartoons and comic strips where the characters seem to walk about in a complete nothingness. It's almost like our plane is the only thing that exists, flying through nothingness. I think about before the creation of the world. Did it look like this? Pure nothingness? Could it have been without light, but not black because there was no darkness? Questions for heaven, I suppose. However, when I think of the sky, in all of its beauty and mystery, I remember the verse; "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament showeth His handiwork." How true is that? The pure mystery of clouds, the sky, and light and darkness, are all such proof of God's amazing, unfathomable handiwork.
Highlight of the day: Meeting missionaries at the airport! A woman came up to our team and asked us about our shirts and what part of Costa Rica we were going to. Apparently this woman and her family felt God was calling them to Costa Rica so they dropped everything and moved there, trusting that He had something for them there. It was such a neat story and "God moment." It's so cool to see how God works!
......I'll post about one day every day....so stay tuned to hear about our first day in Costa Rica!
